Volunteering

It takes over 150 volunteers to keep the event going, as always we are very grateful for any assistance provided by willing volunteers. We receive countless email and Facebook messages every year telling us just how much the efforts of our volunteers are appreciated and how important they are to the cyclists.

There is no doubt that our volunteers make the Wicklow200 the brilliant event it is!

If you’d like to help out at the Wicklow200, jobs for volunteers vary depending on location, time of day and skills.

At Shoreline – Greystones

Starting very early in the morning, jobs in Shoreline will include:

  • Signing in the riders
  • Checking rider IDs
  • Making tea & coffee
  • Car parking duties
  • General marshalling in & around Greystones

In the afternoon duties will also include:

  • Checking in the riders at finish
  • Serving the rider’s meal
  • Car parking duties
  • General marshalling in & around Grasmere village

On the Route

Out on the road most junctions are marshalled along the 100km and 200km routes so we need lots of volunteers to guide and encourage riders.

Feed Stations

Help is also always appreciated at the 2 feed stations – The first at Rathdrum and the second at Baltinglass.
